A Bradley Horowitz (Yahoo!) post about the unbalance between those who lurk outnumbering those who create content got a good bit of attention last week. More interesting is Nat's post on O'Reilly Radar zooming in on the issues surrounding why someone would even bother contributing in the first place. Specifically, he points to insprirational leadership and getting the motivation to skill-time barrier ratio high enough. And I quote:
"The biggest part is the motivation, meeting the emotional needs of developers."
